I'm looking for a little feedback on these springs. Before anyone says it, yes i searched but didn't really come up with much. They are listed in the parts catalog but that's as much as i can find. Thanks

My buddy had them on his 1g awd and they lowered the car alot. Compared to a sport line kit its right there in drop, but they're really hard on shocks. He broke the perch off a gr-2 rear and then swapped out the gr-2's for agx's only to soon break off a perch on an agx. I'd look for a different set of drop springs.

Thanks for the info. I have Megan racing springs that i got for a good deal but i've since decided that i don't want to do a 2" drop. I have a friend with the B+G's that will trade me straight up for them. Hence i asked the question.

I'm running B+G with KYB AGXes. The ride is severe, and very unpleasant on badly maintained pavement. But turning the AGXes up on a well-maintained track (or similar) results in a very stiff, responsive ride.

Then again, the roughness of ride could just be because the previous owner of my car had them installed, but neglected to put the bump stops back on. :notgood: I haven't broken any perches though, and I'm running 2/4 on the street, and crank it up to 3/7 or 4/8 if I have a good road to play on. Also, make sure your sway bar bushings aren't degraded, as the B+G/KYB combo will put a good deal of strain on them.

Only oddity is that on low speed uphill hairpins, the back end 'hops' out. You can feel it getting to a given point, then letting go for a split second, then grabbing again. Literally feels like a pogo stick. I can only blame it on a lack of rear STB and body flex.

Ok thanx for the info. Alot of the roads around PA are pretty nasty so maybe i should reconsider the B+G's. Of course i don't think the megan racing ones will ride very good either.

I've heard that the Eibach sportlines give a decent (though not stock-comfy) ride even with lowering, but you need better than KYB AGXes to control them well. I can guarantee you that the B+Gs will ride better than a 2" drop though, from the recovered shock/strut travel alone. Also have noticed that with my 17" rims, a good bit of the drivability can be maintained (and added comfort) by running a bit more tire pressure to compensate for the reduced shock/strut throw. 2-5psi higher seems to work best, without screwing up the wear pattern or reducing the lateral grip... remember, your tires absorb a good chunk of the road shock as well. Tried running lower pressure, but that just ended up in rolling over the sidewalls, and while it reduced the smaller vibration/bumpiness, it made any large bumps (1" or so and higher) much, much more severe.

I have been using the B&G springs on my fwd for well over a year now, I like the way my car rides with them, They are stiff and handle vary well. I also have KYB AGX for shocks, and good sticky tires. I don't think I could drive my car everday with them, but if you want great handling for not alot of money? the AGX/B&G are for you.
