Ok I know almost nothing about suspension,I spend all my time under the hood.Anyway I am FWD and am going to need something stiffer.I want to run 12s and to do that with a FWD you need good 60s.So any suggestions would be appreciated.

adjustable shocks like koni, lsd or lsd insert, polyurethene motor mounts, springs like tein or eibachs, and slicks

tires, lsd, clutch. i am still on the t25 and spin all of first and in second till 6k rpm.

If you have the money and means or just happen to have to drop the tranny, then the lsd will help you out the most on your 60'.The motor mount inserts will help adress wheel hop,and the adjustable shocks/aftermarket spring combo will help you set the rear stiff to enable you to keep your ass up and your front down the track.

Go with true LSD like KAAZ if you are spending most of your time at the track or Quailife if its a daily driver. Get some nice sticky tires, such as Potenza Pole Postitions or Falken Azentis. Then Go with Koni or KYB AGXs shocks, and make the front soft and the rear hard. A set of Eibach's springs, or Tein's for height adj. Front and rear strut tower bars will do you very nicely if you use it for a DD to stop body roll.

EDIT***Also Ive just read your mods list and an ACT 2100 will be good for you, but if you are looking for more power then get the ACT 2600 for the future power gains.

Thanks for the replies.I have a stage3 clutchmasters disc, but I need a pressure plate.I guess if i cant get one ill prob buy the act2100.What about the SBR lsd, does anyone have experience with this.

Also another thing...SBR makes a urethane bushing kit for 95-99 awd or fwd talon/eclipse, and 95-98 fwd/awd talon/eclipse its like 189$ but replaces just about all of your suspension bushings from old rubber to urethane. The ACT 2100 should be fine, and as far as the SBR LSD I have not delt with it, but Quailife(sp?) LSD for track/daily driving, or KAAZ for mostly track due to KAAZ LSD making noise turning at low speeds and what not. IMO KAAZ is the better of the two for the track but Quailife gets it for on the road.

Yeah I would like to get one of those two lsds, but I dont really have the funds for a $1000 lsd.My clutch is on its way out and I want to do it while the trans is out.Thats why I wondered about the sbr lsd because its only 200bucks.You get what you pay for i guess.

Single most effective upgrade you can possibly do on a fwd to address traction is going to be an LSD. I run a quaife personally(not too noisy, good manners on the street with the exception of making u-turns a little rough) and can honestly say it is worth every penny. I've heard of people having success with the lsd inserts made by phantom grip and sbr, but i cannot speak for them personally, although i do know of a certain dsm runnin 9.80's on an insert (proof enough for me:thumb: )

Prothane polyurethane motor mount inserts will damn near eliminate wheel hop, kind of a pain to install w/o a press...but worth the effort.

When choosing your suspension, shop around for the highest possible spring rate u can find for the rear, this will help some with the weight transfer that normally destroys our 60ft's. i personally run the tein super street coilover set-up,love them, but i know there are other coilover set ups out there that have somewhat of a lower pricetag that function the same if not better (do a search on here, you will get a lot of feedback on what is or isn't worth the money when shopping for coilovers or a shock/spring combo)

With the exception of the LSD the next most effective upgrade to do for traction is going to be tires. I've been through quite a few sets, so the far the stickiest (and shortest lived) have been my kdw's, with my nitto 555r's coming in a close second. There seems to be a little bit of Kuhmo bashing on the site..don't listen to it, Kuhmo is just like every other tire company they have thier lines meant for grandma's buick skylark, but also make a few VERY GOOD tires, the ecsta mx is one of the best tires i have ever run on any car excellent in the rain, excellent dry traction, and the best treadlife of any of the "performance" tires i have ever run, i will be purchasing these again once my nitto's run thin.

Lastly, you can do an internet (non-tuner) search on anti-lift geometry, something i am currently looking into as i feel there isn't much more i can do for traction, and see if you can't fab up your own anti-lift kit, there is a few members on this site who have done so successfully.

Hope this proves useful, good luck!

You might be able to increase the rear anti-squat, but I can't see how you would increase the front anti-lift in a 2G other than straps or limited shock travel, neither of which I would use on a FWD. (On an AWD that has the power and grip to launch hard, the next step would probably be to weld the center diff.) Note, also, that rear squat is useful on FWDs and AWDs, because it reduces weight transfer. The problem is front-end lift.
