Actually right now I have Tanabe coilover system, my friend sold me out the car with the coilover, it's very tough, he has the old Tanabe coilover system only I can adjust the high no stiffness

Actually I'm looking to change my coilover system but don't know which one is the best for my setup, I want something very stiff for drag and something very soft for street.

What is the best between these 4 types?
Tanabe Sustec Pro S-S Coilovers
JIC FLT-A2 Inverted MonoTube 15-Way Adjustable Coilover
D2 Racing Sports RS Coilover System
Tein Driving Spec Control Master Type-FLEX Coilover System?

Actually I feel TEIN is the best and it's not that expansive JIC is very expansive for just being light

So let me know guys what is the best for drag and street and which one can be changed very easy from stiff to soft and I don't know if I can adjust the camber with some type of coilover.

I don't want to change the stiffness from inside the car with electrical, I have enoght electrical stuff inside the car so I'm gonna do it manual by scew

I can't tell what is the best for my setup, my tanabe is very stiff for street and doing good for drag, but with 10 sec runs, my Eclipse do drop at the rear which I don't need, so I should do it more stiff for drag and soft like stock if possible

Thanks

i would say that the JIC's are the best, just because they have been proven. They are stiff shocks though. my friend has them and they are bumpy even at low settings. but they are definately great coilovers. i know for sure that the JIC, D2, and Tein all have pillowball mounts to adjust camber

I didn't know the pillow mounts are to adjust the camber because actually I need something which can adjust my camber, I'm running 26 inch skiness at the back and 26/15/10 slicks on the front, some times the slick was touching the finder at launch, so i was something easy to higher and lower the car and actually I don't only need it to be stiff, I want something to be very comfortable at street

Actually I love TEIN and FIC is the more expansive coilover I've seen just for being light weight.

Can anyone number them from the best to worriest?
Between FIC,Tanabe,D2,TEIN and what is the advantage and disadvantage of everyone of them if possible

Thanks

The pillow balls do not adjust camber. Not on a car with upper a arms. They just help to smooth out the range of motion for the shock and I think eliminate the rubber bushings so they won't deflect.

JIC's are definately the best, I haven't heard of too many people using the Tein's actually which makes me wonder why. From the mouth of another dsmer they are crap compared to the JIC's. (not sure if he had experience with both however so it may have just been personal opinion which is nothing to base your decision on). The adjustability and tuning ability with the JIC's is unparalleled and for a drag car being light is always a plus as well.

I use Tein basics. Now I don't race or anything, but they're just fine on the street.

I have k-sports and i do auto-x with them, LOVE these coilovers

Does this mean I can't adjust the camber with TEIN or FIC?

Actually I feel TEIN is what I want and I feel FIC is very tough and stiff ride it's designed just for auto cross or drag not for street, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Can I adjust the FIC to ride it for street, actually I don't have the money for FIC but if it's that good I might wait littel bit till I have the full amount?

How about Tanabe and D2, can't we compair those to FIC or TEIN?

Thanks

I think JIC A2's are the best. Tein Flex are very good also. What about Zeal coilovers? They have a monotube design, they are just kind of pricey though.

I'm just waiting for someone to mention Megan Racing coilovers. :toobad:

What does the FIC make them better than TEIN?
What more feature does it has?
Can anyone explain, I know they are light but what more else?
Can I make it more soft for street riding that TEIN or harder than TEIN at drag?
Thanks
