I have 5zigen 5ZR Copse 2-piece wheels made by Rays Engineering

The front wheels are 18-7.5” w/+35 off set
Back Wheels are 18-8.0” w/+43 off set

I am trying to put these wheels on my 99 GSX, so here’s my problem I am trying to find the best tire combo to get the right look and fitment. So here’s what I was thinking…

Goodyear Eagle F1 gs3’s

225/35yr18 Front & 245/35yr18 back (Would this look right?)

I am open to suggestions that why I posted I don’t want to order the tires, put them on and have them look like shit. Just trying to save time. Also one more thing, I don’t know if it matters or not but I am having the back fenders cut and rolled for more clearance.

You MUST!!!!!! put the same size tires on both the front and the back of an awd car or you will destroy your diffs. I don't know if you bought the stagered rims set up but it will make it difficult to ever rotate your tires or anything. But once again you must run the same size tire front and back. The widest I would run on a 7.5" rim is a 235 so that is what you are limited to in the back. On a 2g running a +35 offset will require you to roll your fender flanges.

mmm y did you get different widths...more importantly smaller in the front:confused: If you FWD like your profile says you would want 245s in the front. And to fit 245s most people get 8" width wit a 35-40 mm offset. The widest i think you can fit in the back is 235 with that 43mm offset. Honestly you did this all wrong, you should of gotten the 18x8 all the way around. If you wanted to go for a deep dish in the back look, like RWD cars. You didnt do you research right Axis makes a specific wheel called the Decade. That is 18x8 with a 40mm offset all the way around and the front lip is 2 1/2" while the rear is 4" lip

Thanks for all the info, that seems right you would probably have to run the same tire all the way around. I am not sure if I like the Decade's or not but that is a cool setup with the different off sets. I am kind of stuck with these wheels there kind of rare they cost around $350 a piece and I had to get them shipped internationally. So you think 235/35yr18 all the way around would look ok, after the rear fenders are rolled.

Lol, I should see if I can sell these wheels and get Decades, damn.....

5Zigen wheels are NOT made by Ray's Engineering. I don't know where you got that idea.

The outside dish and all the screws have there logo engraved in them. All the one piece 5zigens and the replicas of my wheels have nothing to do with rays......

Also my wheels are lighter then the 18' one piece

You want the wider wheels in the front even if it's an AWD. Only if he had a 35/65 center would it come close to making sense to put the wider tires in the rear.

You also will probably have to put the 8" wheels in the front, given the offset. Whatever possessed you to get a higher offset for the wider wheels???

As to the specific tires, they must be the same diameter, as already stated.

yea, I was just going for a look and now I am suck with it. So I am trying to make it the best way I can. It would be way too weird to put the 8' ones in the front so thats not really an option for me. The best way I guess would be to put the goodyears 235/40 on all fours and pray it dosent look bad after I drop $805 at the tirerack.com and put them on.... o boy, I almost dont really want to go through with it at this point

How about you sell those wheels, take whatever the loss as a lesson learned and this time do more research so that the next set of wheels you purchase fit properly?

You have an AWD car, not a RWD car. Research the kinds of offsets that can fit this car properly, and then start looking for wheels. If you do a search on wheel fitment in the handling section I'm sure you will run across numerous threads tackling all sorts of variations of what offset and tire sizes will fit your car.

For that kind of cash, you can get yourself some good light weight wheels that will fit correctly.
