Ok I recently transitioned from my laser to a stealth. I am trying to put together a suspension package that wont break the bank.

The laser and the stealth suspension appears to be identical (from memory). I need one of you to tell me what size the nut is on top of the front strut and the rear strut pistons.

The stealth has a 19mm nut. I am trying to relate piston sizes.

Reason being is I want to try and put a set of kyb agx's on the stealth and they dont make them for the stealth. I am going to try to use the ones for a t/l/e as the setups appear to be the same.

Anyone that can help out a former dsmer would be greatly appreciated as I shared much abundance of knowledge with others when I was an active member here!

Thanks again for your valuable time tuners!!

For cryin out loud can anyone tell me what size socket they use to pull the nut off of the top of the strut piston??

One of you knows the answer by heart. I dont have my laser anymore to reference. Help a brother out!!

I cannot help you out directly with the size of the suspension nuts, but maybe this website www.3si.org can help ya out. It is probally one of the biggest Stealth/3000GT websites that I personally know of, and it might help you out in more ways then one.

I am the 1st one to try out a custom setup such as this. I want to know the size of the strut nut on the 1g awd t/l/e/.

Come on 1g guys just pop your hood, pop off the dust cap on the top of the strut and find out which socket fits on it thats all the info I need!!

Im already a member there but Im trying to use the suspension from a t/l/e on a stealth. To make a long story short they dont make the agx shocks for the stealth and I had them on my laser and loved them.

Im trying to figure out the differences between the setups so I can modify/use them on the stealth.

Its a custom setup. They will work. I will make them work. The setups are identical. The only difference I notice on the kyb agx struts is the fact that the strut piston is shorter which is a bonus for me cause I will be able to lower the stealth without having to worry about the strut bottoming out.

For all the times I have helped you guys out (2.4 liter guru) its appalling that not one of you will step up to the plate with a simple answer.

I guess this is one reason I dont own a dsm anymore.

Thanks for the comments!!

if noone has answered you by the time i get off work 3-4hrs from now, i will gladly go out to my garage , and throw a few sockets on it to see what size the nut is.

I would greatly appreciate that! The size of the nut on the top of the strut piston is the one I'm after. Front and rear would be great!!

Thanks for your valuable time!!

Well, according to this which is a KYB GR2 install, the front socket size is 19mm, while the back is 14-15mm.

I assume you want to know if the shaft will fit through the pillow mount.

the nut size is not the issue, the shaft diameter is.

The nut size determines the shaft diameter.

I thought I'd make it as simple as possible for you guys :D
