I've looked around a bit, and I've decided I want to go with a 17x8 or 8.5 with a 38-40mm offset. The lightest ones I've found thus far are the SSR Comp wheels from www.tirerack.com weighing 14.2lbs each, and are $399 each and have a 38mm offset.

Anyone know of something lighter for the same price, or equivelant weight for the price?

These would be for daily driving, and use at autocross til I can afford a second set of wheels. I planned on running 245/40/17s on them.

Thanks guys

I was going to buy those, but I did some research and I found they were like marshmallow, they dint at every hole, so I let down this choice, for the lightest wheels you can go here :

This is a general list, it's not all of those who are available in 114.3x5, good offset...

For me I went with Gramlights 57F 17x7.5, they are 15.0lbs but are very strong forged monoblock... I very pleased, I got a good price but the guy told me it was 12.3lbs...

I would say a very good choice (the lighter) is Buddy Club P1 QF with 12.9 lbs (for 17x7.5), 13.6 for 17x8 but very expensive...

The SSR's are very good wheels, ime. They are used on many JGTC cars, which right there proves their strength and lightness. I would go for them! :D
