Does anyone purchased the ebay coilovers ?? Those for 50,60 $$$. Are they worth it?? What problems expect. Anyone got them?? I don't know if I should buy them or just wait, save money a get something better. Please Help!!!

Personally dont waste your money and get a shitty product I wonder why the guy above is selling his coilover set? Just sayin man I have tokico shocks and springs which i spent 400 bucks on and they still ride like shit. Dont get em in my opinion.

Tein would be the way to go if u had like 700 bucks though

i dont have 700 but maybe i'll wait a while save some money and buy something good. My friend told me that they are ok but i will change the shocks soon too.

I got Tein coilovers, and I love them! I got them installed last January of 2004, and I only have put 2,500 miles on them, they are the best!

yes, the ebay coilovers are awesome at lowering your car.

i dont have them but know a few people that have them on their cars, though they do not drive DSMs.

Anyway, they work great for lowering your car for looks. So far none of the three guys I know who have them have had theirs sag (noticably, since pretty much all springs sag at one point or another), and they've all had theirs for at least 6 or 7 months.

I won't be autocrossing too much next season since money is pretty tight at this point so I might end up gettin them for the sole purpose of lookin cool!

I tried to install them, but the nut on the top of my front shock shaft wouldnt come loose. Now I have just lost interest in them. I cant say they are good quality, I cant say they are shirty, but I can say the compared to JIC, Tein, Bilstein, they were only $50 bucks. They cant compare...

If you are looking for a performance type coilover, these aint it. If you are just looking for the looks of having coilovers, and the ability to lower your car, cheaply, this is for you. i am saving money for an engine rebuild, and a set of teins.

If you are going to use sheap coilovers, get Koni yellow struts.They are strut inserts you have to installed in the stock or equivilent modified (top cut off) strut body. From experience and also from reading stuff here, the konis are the best "bargain" strut to be used with pretty much any of these spring kits out here. Most of the E-bay springs are around 450lbs front, 375lbs rear. Pretty stiff, but within the dampening range of the koni's . I have them. DO NOT lower your car so much that it still bottoms out with the stiffer springs. you will blow out the strut cartridge.


For the real deal(high dollar), JIC or TEIN as stated in here many times.
