Hi,

I have installed the Energy Suspension bushing kit in my AWD. The problem I'm having is that the energy kit doesnt replace the bushings on the chassis side of the rear control arms (the ones that have the toe adjustment). When I was dissassembling the suspension, one of the toe adjuster bolts was siezed in the bushing and had to but cut out. The bushing is junked and I need a new one, can I get a factory replacement bushing? Does anyone know?

Thanks,
-Jacob

How did that install go?
I have the entire kit to put on, but I haven't really found the time.
Did you have an alignment shop press in your new bushings?
How did you get the old ones out.
I've heard of people burning them out with a torch, but that sounds pretty messy and toxic to me.

go here http://www.mitsubishiparts.com/oe_parts_catalog.html
even though they dont list the part number for the bushing for the toe arm, the bushing for the other rear lower control arm (the arm the sway bar endlink bolts to) is the same.
You should have got the prothane kit because it comes with everything you need including the toe arm bushings.

Also you can use a torch(oxy acetylene), using a propane torch would take too long. A press would be much better and quicker.

Are you sure the bushings are the same?

From looking at them it looks like the toe arm bushing is wider than the bushing for the arm with the sway bar endlink in it.

A good hydraulic (sp) press should press the old bushings & sleeves out nicely. The only one I actually HAD to burn out with a MAPP gas torch were the bushings for the trailing arms (I could just NOT get them pressed out). So I burned the rubber out (yes it is VERY messy), then took a hacksaw and very carefuly cut a slit in the metal sleeve to release it.

Good luck! And those bushings definitely help :D
