again with the stupid awd vs. 2wd suspension components, i busted up my control arm last night into a curb and i need a new one. as it looks right now no one in the area has a spare AWD car or the parts to one. the junkyards however have 2wd cars but no awd cars. will it work?
thanks, Adam

Yes it will work... just make sure that it comes off a FWD that has the 2.0l in it and not the 1.8l. The control arms are the same except for the way that the front sway bar mounts on the 1.8'. Otherwise the 1G AWD & FWD DSMs and Galants share the same front control arms. try to get one out of a car with the least amount of mileage and with a ball joint boot that isn't ripped...

Are we absolutely positive on this, cause isn't the whole front sub-frame (cross members, etc.) different on AWD cars vs. FWD cars?

stingray is correct. I have already swapped my right one out; the control arms on all 2 liter 1g's are identical. The 1.8 is the only different one.
