energy suspension install Q

i am going to install my energy suspension kit tomorrow and i have read the vfaq on the install. for the people that have done this can you give me any tips to make it go smouther i have lots of tool but here are some special tools add to the list of things i could use to make time go faster

propane turch
bushing install

A bearing press would be a good thing to have.

I can't imagine doing all that over again without one.

You will need plenty of rags, too.

Lots of PB Blaster.
Impact wrench for those stuck bolts.
A couple more days to do them all

Don't be suprised to find that your lower control arms shaft crumbling when you take off the rear bushing. Depending on how bad they are you may need new control arms. If the bushing doesn't fit tight on the shaft it will allow the arm to move around under load.

also did you notice that big of a differance my suspension is toat so it all needs to be redone

i did mine with a 150 ton arbor press ( Work )

i found that if you heat the bushings up with a propane tourch they slide right out

What bearing press did you use and what size did you use to push it? I have the kit installed except for the front control arm bushing that was a son-of-a to remove so I left it and now I would like to finish the job.

find a shop to press them out and new ones back in. i had mine done (complete es kit) for $25 after i removed the required suspension parts. suspension work/removal is easy_pressing bushings out and in sucks (worth 25-30 bucks not to have to burn_cut_hack_bust knuckles, ect).

I don't want to do that bec I have installed the control arm already, and I just replaced the ball joints so I don't want to pickle my cherry ball joints.
