On ebay there is a set of wheels that i've been lookiing for with tires, but i think that they might be to wide.

ENKEI GTV 18 X 9 Wheels with Falken FK 451 285/35 18 tires

he said that they come with spacers, but i'm no sure if they'd work even with 'em.

the picture below is the wheel on a eclipse but this guy has the same wheel (size above) on his mustang.

i did a search and i didn't really get anywhere. would appreciate some help thank you.

with spacers or without, would these work on my eclipse?

Even if these are the +35mm offset version, you'll still need 15mm spacers. Therefore, you'll need new lug bolts. Plus, you will either have to run outrageous springrates (above 600 in the front) or jack the car up. And don't expect your wheel bearings to last very long.

With all that said, most of the dreadfully serious autocrossers with DSMs are going to this size. It's the only way to get that much tire while still keeping the diameter that we like. (You need too much power to run 275/40/17s, which kill the gearing.) If my car were not a daily driver, I'd be thinking about this size, too. On "rational" springs, etc., I'd suggest that you go with 245/40/17.
