Just installed coilovers, ride is REALLLL bumpy, help please!!

just installed my coilovers, and now my ride is real bouncy, i feel like i have hydrolics....can anyone give me any suggestions on how to make it better??? THANKS

-Your springs are probably too stiff for the struts to control, try higher setting on the struts if they're adjustable or lower the spring rate.

make sure you put a camber kit on

raise the rings up before you ruin your shocks!!!! I had skunk 2 coilovers with tokico blues... horrible! I put the rings down half way, at first it was bumpy then it felt like my suspension was dead. I would literally go over a manhole and my car would shake and make cd player skip. I raised the rings up all the way, I don't even think the ride highth changed! and was still uncomfortable! I guess I lowered them to much so I messed them up. I'm getting a talon awd I'm going to stick with prokits!

too late the rear shocks are gone.... getting some new ones next week....

Check your springs for signs of coil bind as well. You would see the paint rubbed off between the coils. This is a real problem up front with the 8" springs these kits are usually sold with. I ended up with a 10" 325lb front spring and a good quality bumpstop (ground control) and it cured the problem.

Ahhh, the joy of coilovers. The majority of coilovers will have this affect no matter what you do, which is why I prefer lowering springs. You really have to spend a fortune for a good, quality coilover.
