skunk 2 coilovers good or bad

I am thinking of getting skunk 2 coilovers...i wanted to know if they are good...and when you lower a 2g eclipse about 1.3-1.5 inches will you have to get a camber kit...

I had Skunk2 coilovers on my previous eclipse. They are terrible. The ride quality in absolutly terrible. Not to mention they are a pain and only work with certain struts.

On this car, I have H&R Sport springs (1.7" front and 1.4" rear) along with KYB GR-2's and the ride is great, and the stance is perfect. My springs actually settled out a bit lower. Maybe 2" in the front and 1.7 in the rear.

You will need camber kits for the front, and the rear can be done using shims. A shop will know what those are, just let them know when you go to have your camber kits installed.

They're pretty good when teamed with a good pair of shocks, such as Koni Yellows.

never use them with stock shocks..i did that and its a terrable ride. now i am upgrading to new shocks for sure with ground control coilovers..

So if you had to do it over would you get just normal lowering springs or would you stay with coilovers?

I have them on my car and there great. I would also not recomend them on stock shocks either or any kind of cheap shocks because they will cause them to blow quick. The ride will be kind of bouncy. I have them on KYB AGX for about three years now and I think my shocks are about to go but im planning to get Tokico Illumina in a few weeks with the skunk2 on them hoping to solve the bounciness.

The ride is crappy on stock shocks because the Skunk2 coilovers are a stiffer spring setup than, lets say, Ground Control or Max Speeds. They are exceptional though with aftermarket shocks. I had them on all my Honda setups, and they were supperb. I wish Skunk2 made a 1G application for them
