i HAD ground controls on mine when i got it. ride quality=CRAP. even with illuminas. i got rid of those things fast and got pro-kits. ride quality=a cadillac compared to the GCs. my $.02

What sre the spring rates you intend on using?

I dont know a thing about skunk cause I thought their products were aimed at honda's

I know that gc has a good spring (eibach) but it would be nice if you could inspect skunks hardware to compare it to GC

I have heard complaints about GC's hardware

I have the Skunk2's on my car now. As with any coilover sleeve, you will want to upgrade the struts. I don't have any complaints about them.

That's $.02 too much.

It all comes down to spring rates, suspension travel, and whether the sleeves fit the shocks nicely. Skunk2s come with X spring rates - no options. They also often don't fit as well around the shock. That's why you pay for a GC kit.

The fitment was fine with the Skunk2s. You are correct in that they don't offer any different spring rates. But then again, not everyone needs that option.

Do not go w/Skunk2s. First off they pop all the time and it sounds like a gun going off in your backseat... not very cool and not fun to explain to everyone who sits in your car. The drop height isn't very good compared to other brands either and the install was a bi***. If your going to go w/the Skunk2s then definitley get some strut bars while your at it, some AGX's would be nice too.

I can honestly say I've not had that problem at all. I'm not sure if the fitment would be different on a 1g vs a 2g or what.

The install is pretty much like any other coilover install. Again, maybe its different on a 1g.

The ride height? If I lower them down all the way, the car is still drivable and there's absolutely NO wheel gap. Now I drive 50+ miles a day for work so I don't drive around with them that low. I have about 2" or so of wheel gap now.

AGX's are nto recommended if you want a low car. They won't hold up to the abuse. They are ok for a drop like the Pro-Kits or something similar. Anything more than that, and its very likely you'll blow them

Regarding blown AGX's, be aware that KYB will warranty up to 1.5" drops but will NOT warranty coil-overs. Didn't make sense to me either but there you go.

Oh, yes they break easily and yes they ride like crap. I prefer the Konis by no small margin.
