What would make my suspension pop?

Ok only only hear this noise when i'm siuttting still and not moving. When i turn my wheel all the way in eithewr direction i hear a two popping sounds from my passengeg front wheel. I just replced my upper ball joint b/c the boot was torn and i thought that was making the noise but it still didn't correct it. I also replced my upper control arm bushing thinking those were bad but nopew it still didn't fix it. I thoroughly checked my passenger front suspension components and all seems fine. My ball joints were done unde recall in 2001 and they look fine and the boot is not torn what so ever. I checked all my lower ball joints and they seem perfectly fine. All boots are still intact wirth no tears or signs of wear. So what could be causing this problem? The car drives perfect and handles great! I can't hear the noise when i'm driving at all. When i turn the wheel in either direct i get two pops right in a row and it's definitely coming from the passenger side. It almost sounds like it coming from the spring itself as it expands and contracts when i turn the wheel. This noise isn't very loud it's actually pretty quite but it still noticable.

Our stock springs are the non-flat-ended type, so, when you steer, either the upper spring isolator or the lower perch must rotate. The stock perch is welded on the shock, so it's the isolator that must rotate. If this really is the problem, you can either ignore it (i.e., live with it) or you can yank the shock/spring unit and lube the upper side of the isolator. This will require a spring compressor to do right. Odds are, the upper mount is rusted and is catching on the isolator.

i have that exact same problem. my 95 tsi awd is lowered 2" and i just replaced mu uppper ball joint on the pass. side because it was bad and poped and clunked alot. but i can hear the pop both when i'm sitting still and turn my wheel and also when i'm driving and i hit a bump in the road. so i dont really think it's the spring. do you guys have any more ideas??? thanks!

also, i forget to say that it does it when i first get going from a stop. right when i start to roll when i let out a little on the clutch it pops.

ok, so i fixed the whole pop crack thing when i turn my wheel when sitting still. it was where my upper control arm bolts through the fender wall, the front bolt was missing the little bushing and was rattling and grinding. so i cut up a bottle cap and made my own bushing.

but, my car still clunks or pops when i first start to move foward while at a stop. what the hell could that be? my tie rod is good, i dont know about my lower ball joint though... someone give me an idea,

ok, so now sometimes it pops, sometimes it doesn't when i hit bumps in the road. . my upper ball joint is new, so it's not that.can someone point me in a general direction or something? it's not the tie rod end, upper ball joint or upper control arm. i dont think it's either of my lower ball joint either. could my axle or anything to do with my brakes do this? anything else on my suspension??? help me out please!!
