I have tried searching for this and can't quite find the right combination for a definitive answer. I'm wanting to go with 18's (Roja Formula 5's or 7's). 225/40-18's seem to be the most common approach. But I plan on using either an AEM brake upgrade or their big brake upgrade. I have KONI yellows and an Eibach Prokit.

My questions:
What offset do I need for the brake kit (either the one that uses the stock caliper, or the one that replaces it up front.)?

Are 18's comfortable to ride on, or should I just look for a light 17"
to reduce rotational mass and possibly help acceleration? I care about
handling and ride, so I don't want to sacrifice too much of it just for another inch of rim, am I overanalyzing too much? My other car has 17's and a lot of profile, so I'm not used to being in a little car, close to the ground without much profile. Wet handling isn't as important, because I only drive it when its nice, but I may have to, and I don't want to be all over the place. What should I do?
