Morganton,
Wondering if a set of mustang cobra r 2000 wheels will fit my 1 and 2g. 24+offset, 9 inches wide, 17's. Looking to put a 245/50 on the wheel if I get them. Hopefully the center hub will also clear. Thanks for any helpful info.

they will fit very well and shouldnt rub....but they will stick out about 1-1.5 inches outside the fender. That is if we are talking about the 17*9 cobra r, if so they will fit...but kinda look bad cause they stick out but if they didnt I would have bought the pair I tried on my 2g.

ps they were designed for a 255 45 17

Good deal. Exactly what I needed to know. Do you think a taller tire would fit than a 45 series? Or would that come to close to the upper control arm?

actually with the 245 45 17 tires that were on the wheels when I tried them on, came about 4-7mm away from the upper control arm. So I wouldnt recomend going anything above 45 series, in fact go here: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html to find the right size. but Id say a 245 45 17 or 255 40 17 is about all Id go for. Ill still advise against the rims as far as bearing premature wear, and the fact that they stick out. But let me tell you putting them on even the ford guys said my car looked mean as hell with them on. goodluck with your choice

I'm getting a good deal on these Blitz Type 01 17x9 +44 all around. It has 245/45/17 and 255/40/17 tires. Now what I want to know is will it rub without lowering a car? I can always change the tires since they are almost bald. Please help I don't want to loss these nice wheels.

My 99 :dsm: Convertible has Eibach Sportline springs and I have these 18"/235/40 and also with the rear camber kit, ;) and a little bit of wheel well rolling no rubbing, tucked under extremely nice and an  incredible ride in the convertible.

I'm not up on 1g fitment but I don't think there's any way those wheels will fit with anything less than 5mm spacers.
