alright i dont even have the car yet but i like to research things in advance and get to know everything so......what all-season tires(i live in minnesota) under $1000 would you recommend for a 95 eclipse gsx with the following mods

bov
intake
uic pipe
cat back exhaust
downpipe
high flow cat
mbc

Goodyear GT-HR's own all. I live in nebraska... They are great handling tires, and you can drive in the snow. Best combo I have seen in a long time. Oh yea, they DONT SQUEL! Great for hard cornering without getting attention or sounding like a pile of shit.

those look really good except there hr rated :( any other suggestions?

Most all season tires come HR Rated.

A few are V-rated, but you sacrifice some traction with the increase in gumminess.

I don't do a _lot_ of snow, but my Dunlop Sports A-2 tires have been very happy crossing the Sierra in it. And, they're quiet, good-handling, easy riding and long-wearing. A little over $100 a wheel.

BF Goodrich KDWs. Good all around tire, decent wet/snow traction, big shoulder blocks for cornering. ZR rated (91Y) tires. Cost me around $470ish at Discount Tire for all for, mounting, balancing, etc.

Blizzacks for winter and Khumo v700s for summer.

you people are missing he has a $1000 dollar budget damn kid get the pirelli p-zero nero use them all year.

now if you come back down to earth with your budget and relise the tires will need to be replaced with in a year or 2 or sooner if you drive like me. speed rating is important you say you have a turbo minmum speed rating recommended by me is v-rated

i have continental extreme contacts and yes side wall roll sucks but they are cheap and grip like hell. plus the tread looks cool dunlop sport a2 tread looks stupid, plus every a lot people have them and they are only h-rated. conti's are v-rated

Hrmph. I can't hardly see them from inside the car. All I notice is how they feel, wear, and hold. Seems to be enough for me.
plus every a lot people have them
Well, you'd not want to get a tire that sells well, it might have something to do with how good they are.
and they are only h-rated. conti's are v-rated
Yes, I've made a horrible mistake there, it's so seldom I get in the car and can keep it under 130.

I can't figure what your trip is. I'm sure that given enough time, you'll manage to put up a post that's not caustic, bombastic, moronic, insulting, arrogant and wrong.

Or, maybe not.

I had the goodyear gt-hrs back in MN and loved them....I drove all year on them with no problem....and I so do love corners........the only thing I hated, was all that damn salt they put on the roads..ahhhh...well that was a little off subject
