KYB AGX owner's quick question

this is weird, but my agx's came with the front top strut labels all messed up and fallen out, so i dont know which way is 1 and which way is 4

can someone snap a picture for me of the top of their front kyb agx struts?

For example, what setting is the one facing the engine? I am trying to set mine to stiffest of the 4 but have no idea which way to go,

Push on the shock...

Turn the adjuster...

Push again...

Keep going when it goes from really stiff to really soft you just went from 4 to 1.

unfortunately driving around i cant tell the difference that much, so i would rather know where 1 and where 4 is looking at it....i tried different settings, i dont notice much difference, but its hard to tell just driving around feelin it out, trying to find the differnce between 3 and 4 is hard by just feel

this happened with one of mine too, the problem though is that i can't think of any way to detect which way its pointing without the little numbers to use as a basis. my one that broke off only fit in there one certain way.

Notice I SAID PUSH ON THE SHOCK...

Which means you will have to take them out an push on them manualy.

That seems like an awful lot of work just to find that out. I know for me, I can definitely tell the difference going over bumps and potholes etc etc - even between 1 and 2.

I have the opposite problem that you have - my labels are still there, but the plastic adjustment screw melted and stripped.

White | Yellow
------|------
Red | Green

10:00 White = 1
02:00 Yellow = 2
04:00 Green = 3
08:00 Red = 4

Not sure if this will come out correctly?

The other day I noticed that one of my adjustment indicators on the AGX front's was coming out of it's perch inside it's housing, but I also noticed that there is only one way for it to go back in. There is a small notch on the indicator that should match a small slot in the strut housing portion.

Does yours not have these features visble any longer?
