When i hit bumps hard...by accident...

Has anyone ever spun wheels over a pot hole or bump(by accident) or just hit a hold kinda hard and heard a "crack noise" in the floor panel....if so whats the noise and some info about it...thanks

it maybe your lower lateral contol arms , in the front. There was a recall, for that. i'll try to find a link.

if its the same as tie rods...i had that replaced i think the whole control arm if i had a pic i could show u whats new still has tags stuck to them...but just once in a while i hear a big crack like right down by my pedals sounds absolutly discusting ...other then that i see no bad effects any more info is appreciated thanks...

exactly what u described was my lower control arms shot to hell. it hard ass ride you feel and hear all types of cracks. I ignored it and at astop one day my F##$cking arm cracked off and my axle popped out. good thing i wasnt going 60 mph on highway , or i would law$uit the $hit out of mitsu , becuase i never got recall info from mitsu. hpoefully your problem is minimal , you shoould check swaybar bushings.

you may want to post this in suspension, so some suspension guru's can better assist you. or ask a mod to move it for you.

yea ive been informed from another that they are the bushings...the tie rods are brand new and i think this noise occured even b4 the i replaced the tie rods....so id put money that its not them...more info would be appreciated...any other things it could be besides bushings...if not what are prices of bushings...plus labor costs..?...thanks

they dealer doesnt sell just the lower lateral control arm bushings. You have to buy the whole arm, there like $240 each. I paid $24o each , but that was mechanic price. Call your local dealer about the recall and bring the car in, they should replace for free.
