how will cutting the stock springs affect the ride and has anyone done them to a dsm? Or how about blow torching it to shrink it? Give me something to work with. I want to lower my ride but cant afford a new set right now. Thanks.

Cutting or torching your springs to get a lower ride, will be the worst choice you will ever make with your car. It will ride like total arse, you will most likely blow your shocks.

even if you don't have money to do it all right now, just wait. You will kick yourself if you cut or torth those springs. Save up, and get a pair of springs and shocks, you will be glad you did.

I am currently running cut springs. It isnt that great and I am currently saving to get real suspension. If you take it easy then it isnt to bad
