Im looking to buy new wheels and tires soon. I've been browsing the forums and see that most people suggest upgrading the shocks and springs. Do I need to do this for 17" wheels?? Or just if i go 18"? Im very tight on cash so im hoping i dont need to.

Thanks, Bryan

You don't NEED to upgrade your suspension at all. Stock suspension is well suited for street driving. Most suspension upgrades are done for appearance. There's nothing about changing wheel and tires sizes that requires a suspension upgrade.

Sad, but true.

Even worse: many suspension "upgrades" actually reduce handling at the limit.

I just dont want a huge gap between my tires and the fenders. Does any have a picture of 17" with out lowering springs??

Since you will likely stay close to the same overall tire diameter when you switch to 17's, the gap will be the same.

Lowering properly requires a stiffer suspension. Get the wheels you want. Then, when you are ready, invest in a decent suspension.
