Does anyone else have a problem with the rear wheels being shifted over to the right, im on my second 1st gen (had a tsi that got totaled so u know i had to get another) but i had the same problem on both of them when i lower my car all the way the right rear tire rubs, the left side is fine i repalced allmost very part in the rear suspension (minus the coil-overs) but i even switched sides with the c-o's

Maybe you shouldn't lower your care 'all the way'. Where does it rub? How low are you? And you do know that the no car sits absolutely the same height at each corner right?

i've got my car lowered 4 inches with ground control coilovers, just the very edge of the tire rubs(almost on the sidewall) the RR tire has plenty of clearance

umm.. w/ 4" of lowering, you'd probably need some sort of camber kit to set your wheels back somewhat level. you're never going to be able to put it back within stock specs. just curious, how long do your tires last?

OMG 4", Does it handle like shiit or does it handle like shiit?

i don't think he gets ANY suspension travel. his chassis is his suspension! who needs shocks? who need springs? just get a pipe and use it to hold the chassis up!

4"??? wtf, you can probably make a 20 degree turn without having the side of the car bottom out. just get it some rollerblade wheels

Just cut your upper suspension arm and weld a piece of steel in between to make the arm longer to adjust your camber. get that? i dont :D

anyone know who sells a camber kit for a 1st gen fwd, my tires last about 4-6 months depending on how hard i drive, and actually it handles really well with the tokicos

-Your's FWD, so I don't think there's any correction needed on the control arm b/c it is a 3 link torsion axle setup. unless your frame is bended. How does your car handle being lowered 4"?

-As far as the camber correction, try body shop supplier for camber correction bolt for the Mcpherson strut or get a camber plate.

. How does your car handle being lowered 4"?

it is kinda bouncy even with my struts adjusted as soft as they go, but i dont always ride with it lowered all the way. I cant get into alot of places when its that low(because of scraping) i usually just drop it about 2 1/2 in. for everyday use

-B/c of my home made side exit exhaust, only get 3" ground clearance with 1.25" lowered.

turboholic got any pics of the side exit exhaust i'd like to see that

Trust me this will fix your problem I have 17" 235/40/17 and had the same problem take off your rear lateral bar cut it in the middle then weld in a piece of steel 3/8 of a inch check your bushing's you may want to replace them with urathane.
