I have purchased some tien ss dampers with the pillow ball mounts.

What rear camber kit is recommended?

Also, what do you guys think the life spand of these are?

The home-made rear camber kit will do fine. Even the aftermarket kits you can buy for the rear are simply longer bolts, washers, and MAYBE a new mounting bracket.

Congrats on the purchase by the way, please give some feedback on them when you get a chance. We need more reviews of aftermarket suspension stuff on here :thumb:

are you going to put the camber kits on with the coilover install... or are going to install the coilovers by yourself and let an allignment tech install the cambers to spec

Well as of right now the plan is to install the rear camber kit at the same time as the shocks. I was going to try and dial it in good enough to just drive to the alignment shop then have those guys adjust everything to spec.

I guess I am going to buy the specialty products rear kit. It looks like it comes with new brackets. It will probably be a little while until I get them installed but when I do I will do a write up.

The guy who sold these to me just said that I dont need front or rear camber kits because of the pillow ball mounts. Is this true?

The mounts do not compensate for the negative camber created when you lower the suspension. It will be worse in the rear and you will amost certainly need to consider a camber correction kit.

Actually my front was only about 1° negative after dropping about 1.5 inches and I don't intend to bother with it. The rear was about 3.5° and I bought hardened bolts and spacers from McMaster Carr to take care of that. I have the Flex setup rather than the SS. Assuming they are similar and you intall them according to the instructions, you will end up with closer to 3" drop.

3" drop wouldn't get me over the speed bumps at the local supermarket so I brought mine back up a bit. I was never one to follow instructions anyway.
