yes i am going to be putting a 1g CAS on my 2g head and need some help understanding somethings. Witch 1g CAS do i use? Can i use any 1g CAS? Also i would like some help on the electrical.i have read other forums also. If i can get some help it would help out a bunch. thanks :thumb:

You can run either the black or green top but the Black Top is the best one in regards to no issues. I'm currently running the black top and my shop skipped the RRE wiring harness (I recommend you get this though) as he simply spliced and wired it to the harness connection himself. I'm currently running a 2g head/6 bolt bottem end combo btw :thumb:

So black top CAS and the RRE wiring harness. Is there any big problems after that? Do i got to mess with my computer or anything?

6 Bolt Motor Install Into a 2G Eclipse

Is this the harness. I have a stock block not 6 bolt. I just want the CAS on the right side on my 95 eclipse.

"It connects to a 91-94 1G Eclipse CAS on one side and at the other end it plugs into your 2G wire harness where your old 2G cam and crank angle sensors would have in order to give a cam and crank position signal to the ECU."

That should be all you need.

yes i just got my harness in and am getting a CAS for my cylinder head. I had some questions. I read after you install the harness and CAS you have to change pins on the ECU? is this true? And if so is there a write up on changing the pins?

I have the harness and i just bought the black top CAS yesterday.

I didn't use the harness and didn't need to and neither did my 450475 friends that have done this. I know the how to says something about it but all I did was change my firing order.

ok cool. i am getting dsmlink for my car. so all i do is change my firing order on my spark plug wires and select non 95-96 CAS in dsmlink?

Not to thread jack at all, but say someone isnt running DSM link, and maybe running an H8 flashable ECU. Would they follow the same procedure for firing order as with link? i.e. swap wires.

Did it on my buddies 2G with a H8, swapped firing order and good to go.

Ok so today i got my black top CAS and i got the harness also. So now i was wanting to know on the install of the CAS? i know it can be 180* out and how can i tell if i am installing right? also should i get a new O-ring for the CAS? I have been reading for a couple weeks on these questions so if you can help that would be great. thanks :hellyeah:

ok thanks for the links and just i have to read things twice or 3 times before i understand sometimes. I will let u know how it goes and how everything works out.
