2G 96 GSX Engine harness for a 1984 Monte Carlo SS swap?

harness is from a 1996 gsx

So I am doing a engine swap into a 1984 Monte Carlo SS and I was wondering if anyone has a detailed write up on taking the wiring harness and taking off wires you dont need and getting it ready for the swap.

you could use a 1g turbo dsm harness,this way you won't have to worry about all the obd 2 stuff, and more 1g dsms had the eprom ecus, so if I were you i'd consider using the 1g harness.

sorry that wont work. I already have dsmlink v3 full and the ecu is all done.

plus I have everything for the swap. I am just wondering what on the harness i can get rid of. and how to do it.
