The website for more info is: http://www.panamscca.org/

Registration usually starts around 8:00am
Racing usually starts around 10:00am
They usually wrap up around 2:00-3:00pm

As far as prices are concerned: Costs for SCCA members is 35 for a single day event, $50 for non members for single day events (price includes the weekend membership). Two day events vary, but generally they are around 70 for a member, and 85 for a non member. Sometimes a little lower, maybe 10 dollars less. Membership in SCCA runs around 85 dollars for a single person. Family (Yourself, Spouse and kids) is a marginal extra, I think that one was around 100. Military gets a discount from the national membership, as do people 24 and under.

Other rules:
- Family and friends are welcome to come and watch free of charge but they will have to sign a liability release waiver and keep in mind this is not a "spectator sport" and they don't want large crowds
- A passenger is allowed in your car with you free of charge but most be over 14 and sign another waiver
- Pets are welcome on leashes

The first event of the season this year is test and tune day which dones't count for points, MotorsportReg.com : SCCA - Pan American Region announces 2012 Pre-Season Test N' Tune Day (Sat 3, Mar 2012) info at Cohen Stadium, El Paso, TX 79924 (3888). This would be the perfect time for anyone who is interested in Autox but has never tried it before so come one out! You can register online or at the event. Hope to see some of you guys there!

The next one is March 11th, just a week and a half away!

Event #2 came and went and I'm still the only DSM.... Come one guys, get out and race!

They just started a new incentive program, if I refer a new racer then we both get $5 off the cost to race. Who's down?

What's up guys! Sorry I haven't been as active on here lately, I've been crazy busy with work and have been out of town a lot. Also I recently bought an Evo so I've been focusing on that for the moment trying to get ip up to my standards. This will allow to focus on drag racing the DSM and there should be some improvements on that front in the coming months.

I just wanted to remind everyone that the next AutoX event is in 2 weeks, Sunday, June 17th. I will be there and I hope to see some of you guys out there. This event is open to any car regardless of suspension or power modifications. To be honest power modifications hurt your overall score more then help you anyway. Trust me, LOL!

If anyone has any questions about what is required to race or what class you would be in, feel free to ask here. I highly encourage everyone to at least give it a try, it is a ton of fun and you won't be disappointed.

I would say atleast come check it out, watch for ten minutes, you'll want to grab your keys and get out there yourself. One of the funnest most addicting things I've done with racing, I like it a lot more then drag racing, more action, longer runs, more challenging.

The last event this weekend was a great success. We had a great turnout, well over 20 cars. (unfortunately zero DSM's though.)

Our next event is a 2 day event, Saturday and Sunday, October 20th and 21st. Each day is treated as its own event for points but in addition we have a "SOLO Shootout" where the 10 fastest cars over both days are paired up (1 with 10, 2 with 9, etc) and get one final run for a combined time. The team with the lowest combinded time takes the win!

This is a great time to come out and give autox a shot on either one or both of the days. We usually have more people at our two day events because it brings in some out of town competitors. The season is almost over, i hope to see you there!
