ECMlink Too much fuel?? Black smoke at 4500...

I need to tidy some things up to get ready for mod this year. Specifically tuning. I have posted this on the ECM Link forums to no avail. So I'll post it here. I haven't tuned in almost a year. So, here goes.

In the video below as we are passing the truck entering the highway (50 secs in.) you will hear it. Now the limiter is set at 7500. It's like it's popping at 4500....

The black smoke is pretty prevalent. Let me know what you think.

I dno't have time to gothrough the log right now but what fuel are you running and what is the AFR under boost before or whie it is cutting out likle that

how old are your plugs you're running and at what gap do you have them set?? I see they are BPR7ES which is what i run instead of the plain BR7ES to help me eliminate blowout on ethanol. Depending on the boost level this missing is starting at i can recomend you a plug gap to use but we need some more running details first (ECMlink logs i don't trust for boost or AFR since those can't be "hard logged" and are subject to being off dueto user calibration needs

Also, where are we supposed to be able to see this smoke at??

Sounds like blow out to me, which is probably because you're too rich, using old plugs that are gapped too wide and at times even tooo little timing can cause a mis-fire but that's most of the time at HIGH RPM with way too little timing

SO please list
Type of fuel being used
BOost when mis starts
AFR when it starts
Gap and age on plugs
Age of plug wires even...

93 Octane, 24-27 lbs of boost. Getting AFRs tonight. I'll replace the wires and plugs. Looking into COP though so might be going that route.

AFR Est is reading 12-10 but I'll get the gauges readout tonight.
