Hey guys! I've had many threads about this car over the past year and a half, and I've decided its time to make a proper build journal
So let's begin.
In 2009 I got my first DSM. A 1997 Eclipse RS. Still own the car today and love it dearly. After doing some research and whatnot about mods and DSMs in general I decided I needed a turbo DSM. So for the next few months I searched for one and kept finding cars way out of my price range. Being in high school that price range was very low
So I quit looking for awhile.

It was July 2, 2011. My best friend that I grew up with happened to call me. He says hey bro I'm at my uncle's house right now and he's got an Eclipse in his garage he wants to sell. Interested? So I asked him how much and what model. He proceeded to tell me it was a 1995 GS-T. That immediately caught my attention. He was asking $600. I thought about it for the next several hours. Then I asked my dad about it, and we called him that night and set it up to look at it the next day.
July 3rd. We got there and the car was almost literally in a box. Just about everything was taken out of the car and scattered in the garage. I didn't care what it looked like, I just saw my dream car staring me in the face. So we talked him down to $500, and started loading a majority of the guy's garage onto our trailer. So here's the beauty we drug home

Skip ahead to October 2011
So after the car sat there in a bunch of pieces for a few months we decided to pull it up into the garage and get it going. Took a weekend, a few trips to Pull-A-Part and Auto Zone, but me and my dad got it going relatively quickly for not knowing anything about turbo cars. And here it was all back in there.

So after that night we took it out for a drive the following day

We got it all buttoned up and multicolored just in time to drive it to my school's homecoming football game. And here she was, in all her multicolored glory haha.

Sadly after the game my alternator died on me in the driveway.
So we got that fixed and I continued to drive it occasionally for the next few months. (Would've been my daily but I couldn't drive stick all that well at the time)

After all this I kept gathering up the parts to finish the 2gb conversion. And we happened to pick up a 3rd car while getting the rest of those parts. We never did get around to putting the high rise spoiler on the car, but I'm kinda glad we didn't. And you'll see why soon enough.
January 2012
After getting the rest of the parts we got them installed and the car paint one color just in time for the local DSM/Evo meet/dyno day. I didn't get the 2gb skirts on in time but me and my dad still had fun cruising up there together in both my cars.

Also got some 2gb talon fogs in perfect shape.
Main bearing let go. So we swapped that trans out with one we had from the other car. (thing has come in handy!)
