OK everyone, My name is Jason and I am new to this site. But I have a great project for people to drule over. I recently got rearend by a drunk driver in my 1996 GSX eclipse. So I have decided to put the engine into my 1984 Monte Carlo SS (since my 4G63t was already build and have DSMLINK V3). I will be posting more soon. Feel free to give me some input.

Here is what I have done so far.

* Started stripping the GSX
* Got a W58 5 speed transmission
* Got an EVO 3 intake manifold and sent it to Bill to have the intake cut and flip the throttle body placement
* Ordered the bell Housing from Bill
* Got a N/A Throttlebody to match the EVO 3 Intake
* bought garrett gt3076R twin scroll (cold is .60 A/R, hot is .78A/R)
* 2x tial 38mm mvs wastegates
* tial 50mm QR bov
* hallman boost controller
* derale 18 pass oil cooler with 900 cfm fan
* fuel labs fuel pressure regulator
* 1200cc injector that will flow 1540cc at my desired 72.5 psi of fuel pressure
* mishumoto x-line radiator

search 4g63t monte carlo ss on youtube to find my channel.

hell yea!!! man that is cool as hell. I love that body style of monte and than add a 4g63 motor.....well lets just say im going to start popping the popcorn and pull up a chair. LLOL GOODLUCK MAN and KEEP US UPDATED

RWD 4g63's seem like a lot of fun.

Oh and,

dual walbro 255 pumps going into a 6AN line. you get better fuel atomization of the fuel when it exits the injector the higher the pressure the fuel is under. my injectors are good up to 90psi.

Does this mean you will only run 17.5psi?

With 13.5 volts, and 80 PSI, a single walbro 255 should flow 39 gallons per hour. That's factoring in a base pressure of 50 psi, plus a manifold pressure of 30 psi.

Now if you boost base pressure to 70 psi, and leave manifold pressure at 30 psi you're running your pump at 100 psi. The single walbro 255 should now flow 1 gallon per hour.

If voltage drops to 12 volts, your pumps will cease to flow.

Maybe two Walbro 255 HP pumps would be a better choice.

Two 255 high pressure pumps should be able to do 44 gallons per hour at 100 PSI (22 GPH each). To put that into perspective, a single 255 High pressure pump at 80 psi and 12 volts should do 41 gallons per hour. So by raising fuel pressure that much, you cut the flow capacity of your pumps in half.

LOL no. my base fuel will be 60 psi of fuel pressure. and I should be running around 36 psi of boost on my high power tune and 20 psi on my street tune. The guy who builds these injectors was just being conservative at 90psi. he said I could run more but i dont think i will need to.

ok so, a couple things.
first,
i was going to be running 2 - 255 fuel pumps
second,
base fuel pressure will be about 60psi
third,
I will be sending the fuel pumps somewhere in the area of 18V. using a transformer and voltage regulator. the transformer will go upto 24V and then I will design a regulator and test the different flows at the different voltages. also I have to make sure i dont exceed the voltage requirements of the pump its self.

good input man.

hey man let me know how the W58 goes in the monte I haven't heard what kind of power they can hold as of yet. My Supra has the w58 as well and I'm looking at adding some horse power (aka TURBO!), but parts are nearly impossible to find in my area and I don't want to wreck shit I cant replace......yet.:p

Thanx man and Wish you the best of luck with the build, I'll be sure to keep tabs on it.

i like the idea, think you could have found a better chassis or at least lighter

Nice build man, should be sick! I like the videos too, good job on them. I'll have to do more research myself on the high pressure fuel system, I'm curious about duty cycles and what not, but that's on me:D

I am curious, could u have used an evo 7/8/9 IM (idk if they bolt up, thought they did but ?) To make a rwd setup? That'd be pretty slick but it sounds like I've done ## home work. I've seen some of Bill's stuff too, I drool over that kinda crap.

Mad props, get it goin! :hellyeah:

No they don't.

Nice build, love all these RWD 4g63s being built :D

The evo set up would not really have worked because the exhaust goes on the other side and it would have been a pain in my a S s. LOL
