Street Build: ESI to a TSI?

Hi im about to purchase a 95 eagle talon esi n/t.

The car is 500 bucks do to a whole in the tranny. I really want the TSI, but I can find one anywhere. So, im willing to pay to turn the esi into the tsi. Is it worth it?

Ok is there any good place to buy a new tranny or would it be better jus to get a new case for the tranny an switch all the gears into the new one.

Just go to a junkyard, the ones near me have a decent supply of n/t 2g's in them.
