ELLO!

I Bought my car in April 12', and have been mainly doing maintenance on it and cleaning it up. ATM It is not on the road so anyway, the previous owner had done a lot of work to it, but never got to even drive it much, and it sat for a few months in hibernation..TBH I don't know every mod done to the car but i know 80% of them...
To start off it had the body completely converted to a GSX look, Which is awesome! The engine was completely rebuilt and has around 2k+ miles on it, I need to break that motor in and personalize it to my style..Well here's the list of goodies that are known:

Exterior:
GSX front bumper
GSX Rear bumper
GSX Full Rear end conversion
Aftermarket sideskirt
Carbon Fibre OEM bonnet
Some Aftermarket company vynals. LOL

Interior:
Mitsubishi OEM steering wheel
MOMO Shift knob
Custom Carbon Wrap stuff around the interior
Sparco Racing seats
Carbon Fiber Gauge Pillar
Autometer boost gauge
Autometer pyrometer
AEM Air/Fuel Wideband
Alpine system with a custom carbon fiber/fiberglass casing
Alpine flip out screen
Suede headliner
New black carpets
sound deadening delete

suspension & shoes:
Volk Racing Wheels 18''
Wrapped in new Bridgestone G-Force T/A radials
Full Tein Suspension
Drilled & Slotted rotors

Engine: (from what i know of)
Eagle Rods
Ross Racing Pistons
Aeromotive Fuel Regulator

*AS OF TODAY 4/14/2012 I am still doing maintenance so on my to-do list is an oil change & what I'm using is:

*OIL CHANGE*

-ROYAL PURPLE SAE 20W-50
-Bosch D3323 DISTANCEPlus oil filter

*UPDATE* 4/16/12:
Got my Oil Changed :D
Ripped it down the block with my mom and thats it LOL should have seen her face..PRICELESS! haha

*UPDATE* 4/17/12:

Found out where my leaks are! My oil leak is coming from my manifold DEFINITLY NEED A NEW GASKET, my Anti-freeze leak is still unknown BUT I'm guessing the head gasket is blown or just worn to the point its not holding up that good anymore..my car doesn't over heat or get too hot so i think its the gasket being old not blown..I DEFINITLY need the Gaskets Replaced ASAP!!!!!

Also have an electrical problem...whenever I use my healdights/brights/power windows/radio/ anything like that my IDLE gets messed up and starts complaining at me..SOO I'm guessing I need a battery replacement, and maybe even a capacitor to manage all the electronics I have, I say capacitor because I have an expensive stereo system so maybe thats hogging all the power...I definitely have some crazy power surge messing a lot of shit up... :/

Parts list I have as of right now(things I need):
-Rear Differential gasket
-Front Differential Seal
-Front Tie rods have minor play
-Anti-Freeze Leak (location not specified yet) suspecting the Head Gasket..
-Oil Leak: Exhaust Manifold Gasket..
-Alternator needs replacing..

UPDATE* 5/3/12

Alternator Replaced.
Battery Replaced.
Zip tie'd some messy engine wiring n stuff.

**Next to be tinkered with will be a new Steering wheel hub, quick release, and of course aftermarket steering wheel. i May also order some carbon fiber wrap to clean up the interior, and thinking about getting on the trunk/amp project, gotta make some nice shelf to bolt my amps on in the trunk..

will post pics/update again when i have time.

Small piece of advice:

Exterior:
Volk Racing rims 18x1/2
Wrapped in new Bridgestone's
Full Tein Suspension

You'll be taken a bit more seriously if you avoid listing your handling mods under "exterior" and if you tell us which specific tires and which specific suspension parts you have.

ps. my guess is that your wheels are more than a half-inch wide. :)

:sneaky:

-Front Tie rods have minor play

Bump and subscribes for a NJ dude. Hoping to join tthe ranks with a 2g of my own this summer.

Any special steps to taking off a cold air intake? mine is injen, and i just want to check my turbo for shaft play..just wondering if i could rip er' off or not LOL

bump!>?

yes, u can 'rip her off', but first disconnect your maf plug, remove the blow off valve recirc tube, and undo the clamp that connects the pipe to the turbo. Also, check to see if any of your emmision hose are still on there. (they will be on the underside of the intake pipe)

Wow it looks clean nice buy

Looking good!

looks good man nice and clean, good buy :hellyeah:

THANKS ALOT GUYS!!!

Cannot wait to get on the road already, I'm thinking about doing a few mods that will not beat my motor to crap, i want it to live a long life, so wondering if anyone has any suggestions on any good mods i should do/shouldnt do. or maybe what i should get. I know for a fact I'm gonna need a new battery and a capacitor to manage my damn speaker setup. my battery is very low, and my meter goes crazy when i mess with my high beams, radio is scratchy, and when i put the system the pyrometer goes nuts. It messes my cars idle up also i don't get it.

sweet thx!

Ill be able to post a pic later this week. kinda busy for the next few days. but will def. post them up.:banghead:

I have an alpine system. can't think of the exact names of everything.

If you can get me your size speakers, watts RMS output for each speaker, what model amps you have, as well as the model radio I could potentially help you line it all out. A lot come down to a balanced system for it all to work together sound wise and performance wise. I'm no expert per-say that knows every trick in the book but I've pieced together several good functional stereo systems in the past few years and I'll do my damnedest to do it right.

Thank you so much, but my system is running great, the only thing I'm trying to do is get a new 'shelf' to bolt the amps to. I have the dimensions of where I want it to be, just need to get some ply wood freshly cut in the shape and it will end up being wrapped in suede to give it a nice clean look...but i also am thinking about making another thin piece of ply wood also with the suede wrap, so that it can cover the amps giving it a 'stealth' look. Then when i want to show off the nice trunk areas i can just take off the cover easy 1-2-3.

@screamingdemon, if you really want to know that info, ill be glad to share it with you, and i can also share the settings my amps are on also..maybe i could test out your settings compared to mine see which one i like more. we can give it a shot if you really want to, it doesn't matter to me cus I'm happy the way it is now.

Each stereo system will be set differently and usually needs to be properly tuned with an Oscilloscope. I've had pretty good results with tuning it by ear though. If you want a few pointers just shoot me a PM with all the specs.
