Man, i ALMOST got my butt kicked by one of my hub sleeves, I noticed one side seemed a little thicker than the other.. and wodered which way was right.. I *THOUGH* i remember that the lined part went towards the engine... so i put it on that way..

BIG MISTAKE!

after putting the pins in and stuff i started working the levers and watching the engaugment and stuff.. and something caught my eye.. i wasnt looking for it and it was barly noticable..

the sleeve in question would slide up over the synchro and over the smaller gear teeth next (excuse the lingo) one way.. BUT the other way it would cover the synchro and only HALF go on the next tooth... i was puzzled by this untill i realized THAT is why one side of the sleeve is bigger than the other.

I dont want to even think about what kinda havoc that half enguagment would have played on my shfting... uuugghh..

sorry if this is commin knowledge, just figured id post it as a heads up because it ALMOST slipped past me.. and is pretty subtle thing that could cause big probs..

no, micing the bearings right now, I have the CD but it doesent want to install on xp or win2k pro so i cant effing use it.
