ne1 in here familiar wit auto trans'??

ive asked this question before...but hadnt got much response.....so.......im buying a 92 Talon awd....and 1st gear slips...really bad......just want to know a head of time wat the problem may be......is it posssibly low on fluid.....shuld i flush the trans fluid and to the filter and put more fluid in?.....or does it have to be rebuilt.....i can get a used one for bout 150.........please give me sum clues to wat it is

It could be low on fluid, but in likelihood the rear clutches are burnt out of it and it needs a rebuild.

sh*t...well when i get it...ill put sum fluid in it...and see how it is....if not...ill just get the used trans...i was thinkin bout ordering the trans lab shift kit and the end cluthes kit from u...but well seee how this goes with this trans....thanx
