no, the clutch and flywheel for the NT are smaller.

Well, could u use the turbo engine if you were to use a performance nt clutch with the nt fly wheel and tranny?

yes you can, you just have to have the right combination of parts. i'm using this combination right now.

nt flywheel
upgraded nt clutch from caplclutch.com (5 puck)
nt transmission
nt driveshafts
turbo motor with locating pin ground down on the end of the crank

what exactly is the locator pin that you had to grind down?

The locating PIN is a little notch for when you place the Flywheel on the crank. Basically thats the balanced point and they know the Flywheel won't shatter if you line it up with the locating PIN.

yes you can. i don't what all is needed to make it work but i do know it is possible. a local guy in town bought my buddies old 90 gst, it needed alot of work including a new tranny and clutch, he used a tranny from a 1.8 n/t and a believe the stock clutch. he soon sold it and i think the guy that bought it from him still has the n/t tranny because it's faster but a new clutch of course.

sorry bro , but i don't look at dates very much (don't really get on computer very much for that matter ... job, family, dsm occupies most of my time) plus i thought that it might be useful info about the 1.8 liter tranny (that was not mentioned) because had i not seen it done with my own eyes i would not believe it was a do-able swap.

oops my bad ... i did see a n/t tranny mentioned, but not from what engine because they have different part #'s and i believe is a slightly different shape (though rear ratios are the same) ... while on the subject you can use a 1g fwd turbo tranny on a 4g63 n/t with the same provisions (i had to do this when i fried my clutch and broke 3rd and 4th gear on my 92 eclipse gs w/ turbo swap)
