problem with a car that i wanna buy--need opinion

im going to look at a 91 tsi automatic....the kid said the trans is shot....but it still drives.....he says that first gear is kind of sluggish...but the rest of the gears r just fine.....ne ideas of wat it culd be....is it DEFNITLY going to need a rebuild?...please let me know....im going to look at the car in a few days

Go check it out first. Blown tranny means it doesn't drive. You might get an awesome deal because this guy doesn't know better.

I'd go have it checked out too. Maybe you could get a good deal on, sounds like the kid doesn't know a whole lot. Just bc it "seems" sluggish in one gear doesn't mean it has to be the tranny.

It may just need a service & adjustment. Have a trans shop check it.

yeah i am gonan pick the car up next weeekend...and ima have it serviced....ill let everyone know wat happened.....thanx for the responses though
