90 Tranny in a 94 TSI

I recently installed a rebuilt 1990 tranny into my 94 tsi. I used the bracket from the 94 (the one with the 4 holes in it) but the car is very notchy and i have no R and 5th gears. Is there another bracket i have to switch, or should i just switch over the 90 cable and the 90 shifter plate?

did you check to make sure it had the same spline count? if it is off then that will happen.

Spline on the output shaft fro teh t case. That is all fine. I switched to a 23 spline.

Have you adjusted your shifter cables yet?
