5spd awd trannyproblems...please help

I have a 91 tsi awd 5spd. A couple months ago I pulled out of my driveway, drove off as normal, when my tranny felt as if it popped out of gear. ALL forward gears did nothing. All I can hear when put into gear is a high pitch grind/whine that gets higher pitched in each gear. Reverse is just fine though. I have an ACT 2600 clutch and tranny has BG sincroshift fluid in it, the cables are intact, and the tranny does go in gear, just doesnt engage/move.... Please help, I am tired of my car sitting still. Thanks, David

5th gear doesn't work either? If it does ( + the reverse gear), you either broke 1-2 3-4 shift forks or rail-ends. On some occassions, broken spider gears of the center differential will also engage only in reverse. In any case, the tranny must be taken apart and inspected.
