Big Day of Tranny Fun

Well I had this horrible grinding sound coming from the Tranny area. So I take a look, I'm clueless, some the mechanics there said it was my T/O Bearing. So I pulled the Tranny and Replaced it along with a ACT2600 Clutch kit, here are some uber pics:

When I drained my Fluid from the X-case, it was pure silver looking. Not a good sign. The tranny fluid was light brown. So I took a gander inside the transfer case.

Nothing seems wrong here....

More Silver Goo?!? YAY.......NOT!! This is exactly what the fluid from the X-case came out as.

So, in the mean while I throw on the clutch kit and slapped it all together. Here are some shots of the ACT2600.

In the end, the noise was worse, and we determined that the flywheel was rubbing against the heat sheild which we bent by accident during an early project (Engine/Tranny swap)

So we must do it ALL again, I am currently awaiting X-case to get in from a buyer, other then that. Talon is sitting once AGAIN.
