Recently my shifting has become very notchy at times. Sometimes it will be very smooth, other times it will be very clunky and just bad. There are no grinds just it is really hard to get the shifter in gear and I get a clunk sound when I put it in gear sometimes. The shifter is the stock one, transmission fluid is crappy $1 coastal gear oil that is too heavy of a weight (85w-140). I have an act2100.

Anyone have a clue why my shifting is crappy?

I'm thinking slave cylinder, or maybe just the gear oil because it is very thick (I originally put it in just to make sure there were no leaks after doing the "5th gear popout fix." Also my clutch engages pretty close from the floor, so maybe the engagment point needs to be raised up a little.

Any ideas of what to check would be great.

RRE Adjustmant Page

My guess pedal assembly to clutch master isnt adjusted correctly. and just to be knowledgable pull the pubber boots back on both the slave and clutch master for nasty dark fluid leaks Mine were both leaking and replaced solved my probs also check the lever on the pedal assembly to clutch master mine was also worn there so it was replaced Now Im shifting grrrrrrrreat
