clutch accumulator bypass ???

I am getting ready to replace my flywheel and clutch. I bought the act 2100 and the act exact streetlight flywheel. I was going over the brochure and it mentions the clutch accumulator on the 2g's at being a restriction on the feel of the clutch. It suggests bypassing this. I was wondering if any one has done this , and what parts you would need. I am also putting in a ss clutch line. I read on Dsm.org that there is another restriction in the clutch . Something to do with the bleeder housing and removing the valve plate and spring. Is this a good idea on an aftermarket clutch or should I leave it alone? It is sapose to make the pedal come back quicker. Thanks for any help Jaders

Don't tell me no one has heard of this. All the dsm's out there with act clutches never read the yellow book that comes in the box with the stickers. I could realy use a reply I am getting the clutch put in tomarrow.

If you are getting a SS clutch and it is the right one, in order to install it you have to remove the accumalator. The SS line is long it goes from the Fuse box bracket to the slave cylinder. The plate and spring is in the slave cylinder.

What about the second part. The removal of the spring and plate in the bleeder housing? I searched for accumulator on this sight and nothing comes up. Also looked at free mods and could not find anything about accumulator. I bought the special act kit off slowboy racing. $382.00 shipped. Comes with s.s. clutch line 3 bottles of syncoshift and 2100 clutch kit, complete with t/o bearing and alinement tool. Is this the correct ss line?? thanks Jaders

YEh I was on that sight I should have been more clear sorry. It said on that sight that he was stalling a lot on his launches. MY question is should I perform this mod with an aftermarket clutch and flywheel? Is it worth it? The stalling and such ? A question to go along with this (not jacking post) Is the restrictor on ALL 2g's? Even N/T's or just the 4g63 engine/tranny? Thanks.

I don't know, I was told that n/a cars were built by Chrysler,and the 4g63 were built by Mits. So there is a diffrence. Mits put it on there to help with the over all feel of the clutch. If you get the ss line it will bypass it. I got everything installed and the first day of driving was a bi#$#. I stalled it like three of four times. I did not remove the restrictor in the bleed off valve housing. I am glad too, it was hard enough to learn the engagement point as it was. Since I did it all at once I can not tell what is what, but the diffrence is night and day. I payed 300.00 for everything installed. He fixed some of my boost leaks put in syncoshift fluid, replaced slave cylinder,put in ss line, clutch and flywheel and some other misc stuff. If I were you I would just go to the dealer or look in your manuel to see if the n/a cars have the accumulator.
