I've done some searching and came up with a list of basic upgrades for auto's that i'm going to do. Please correct me if i'm wrong or even add to the list...
1.)Bigger Trans Cooler? (Necessary?)
2.)Translab
3.)End Clutch

anything else?

I just don't want to be one of those pple who yell bloody murder when my tranny goes, trying to prevent any future probs.

thnx in advance

A larger tranny cooler will help. My first mod would be contacting Level 10 and getting a shiftronic to give you full manual control of your tranny under race conditions. The number one killer of the an a/t especially in an AWD is the TCU does not compensate for any addition power your engine produces and will increasingly slip between gears under WOT. With the shiftronic the TCU is disconnected and the shifts are manually controlled and become firm and positive. At the present time my cousin has a 91 GSX a/t that has producing almost 400hp to the tires for over a year on the stock trans and converter with the only mod to the tranny being a shiftronic. My 91 AWD Talon is making over 600HP to the wheels with a Level 10 modded trans and converter. I wouldn't reccomend a modded trans unless you want to go over 400whp. The initial cost of a full Level 10 rebuild is just over $3000 w/ 1 year warranty, which if compared to a race preped 5 spd w/racing flywheel and clutch is very close in price if not cheaper.

I've been running just a cooler, and translab shift kit. So far the setup has been very reliable. My car is daily driven, and it gets plenty of abuse.

Not sure I want to go the Level 10 route yet....No money for it.
Translab does sound interesting but I have read a post or two saying it didn't perform that well, in fact ruined their tranny. Just something I read, of course people experiences will all be different but seems the consensus is that it works. Who knows.
Will be tricky try to get a bigger trans cooler in with my front mount, any quick suggestions?

-thnx
