Slave cylinder question

well i just installed a new clutch and when i took out my tranny i forgot to keep the slave cylinder piston held down, and now it has popped out.. My question or questions are... Will i have to now bleed the system to get the piston to go down to normal size to bolt it back to the tranny... And if i have to bleed it wat is the best way and wat kind of clutch fluid should i use or is it just regular brake fluid????? please help

i have pulled 5 tranny's and never once did anything wih the slave cylinder, axcept let it sit there and hang, all three cars i have pulled trannies from work just fine, except mine but that is not the slave cylinders fault

used regular ol brake fluid everytime i have bleed the system....
