I finally removed the clutch assembly tonight. I took a look at the clutch lever and it does have a good bit of play. I was wondering if there is supposed to be any play at all? Did I waste my time removing it? I am going to weld it up tomorrow afternoon. Where are the bushing that they tell you to be carefull not to melt? I didnt notice any. Thanks for any help!

call team rip on that one. the guy that usually answers the phone is a dsm tech god! i have the same problem with my 90 talon. i have an extended master cylinder rod. That's right, master cylinder. The owners before me welded on a bolt to extend the rod so the clutch can disengage. I called shepherd and he said to replace the bushings and the clutch lever. The bushing, i guess, is on the right side of the steering column and its D shaped. Taboo speedshop sells a kit that shuld fix your problem. I felt my friends dsm's clutch pedal and it has no play in it at all. When i pull back on mine, it moves back like 2 inches, so i think that's why i have a f'd up master cylinder rod.
