Sticky Clutch fluid

Ok i have never posted on this site just read alot of stuff. I couldn't find this anywhere else so if it has been posted sorry. i have a 1990 tsi .I have just had my clutch replaced less then 5 months ago. i had the slave cylinder replaced the same time i got my ACT 2600 clutch put in. I now looked under my hood and my clutch fluid is sticky and dark brown. I have know idea what this would be and the place that installed it said they have never seen anything like it before. They told me that the clutch master cylinder is going bad. Someone told me that it could also be the wrong fluid or its heating up so much. I really have no clue and if any one else can put some input in I would really aprreciate it.

Clutch fluid doesn't heat up. Sounds like your master cylinder seals are rotting, time to rebuild or replace.

Ok thanks for the input. I was still wondering what about the fluid being contaminated or wrong fluid reacting with the plungers?

Yes, there's something terribly wrong. The fluid should go from amber-ish [or bluish, depending on brand] to black over time. Water contamination might make it gum up, or maybe someone's mother drove it and topped it up with Log Cabin.

_Maybe_ someone cross-filled between silicone and mineral brake fluid, but I don't know that that'll make it gum up.

Try your luck with turkey-baster-ing it out as much as you can, then refill it with fresh [NOT Log Cabin] and pump that through the bleeder until clean.

Replace the accumulator with an RRE stainless line while you're fiddling with it.
