I feel like a little kid on chirstmas eve, shift forks and gears dancing in my head.
My shep tranny is schedualed to be delivered tomorrow!
He took my 90 case and replaced just about everything in it with 91 parts. I even got a BM LSD insert put in (coudn't afford the true LSD at the time).
I also bought a 2600 ACT clutch and a ACT Chromoly Flywheel.
Funny thing is that I only drove the car for 4 days before the tranny crapped out. I've been waiting for months to get the thing fixed, I didnt trust the first guy I took it to...then i ordered a used one, took forever..cost alot, didnt fit up correctly. The Finally got it in....and no blocking rings! Rip that one out, they didnt want to give me a replacement, So got a refund.
So in my usual fasion, decided to go with the best!
Shipped it off to John, I must say he is very profesional and responsive.
So hopefully my mechanic will have it in by Monday afternoon (I was getting so sick of tring to get the replacement to work I shipped it off to him).
I can't wait to feel that Turbo again! (Ported 14b)
I will write up a review when I get it in, and a few hundred miles afterward to let the tranny break in (I expect it to be a bit ruff for a while).
In the next few months expect to put in a poly motor mounts, heavy duty fork, heavy duty clutch pedal and SS clutch lines. Looking for that Bullet Proof Mistu Tranny (If such a thing exists!)
