Does anyone know of a company that has performace stall converters for the 2g automatic trans? is thier such a product for dsms? looking to get an auto trans to launch like a 5- spd without swaping trannys. thanx billy

Do some research about this company and you will find, as I did, that they (Precision Industries) make the absolute best converters out there:

You can buy their dsm converter for a good price from:

http://www.fullthrottlespeed.com

The 2 fastest and quickest mitsu fwd or awd times were run with this converter (9.92 at 144.6mph and 10.20 at 143.3mph). This converter is a few bucks more than some of the others out there, but it's more than worth every penny.

i have a protorque TC for sale you should buy it. i bought it for 425 less than a year ago and it only has about 1k on it. i also have a trans lab shift kit installed in a valve body for sale. the dif between lock up and a non lock up is that a lock up style converter locks the impeller part of the converter to the tranny so there is no slipage throught the TC. it is a direct link between the engine and the tranny. if you take apart a TC it is set up kinda like a turbo. it has a drive(impeller) member and a driven(turbine) member. the atf fluid acts as the coupler between the two insted of a shaft.

whats the stall on it? mines about 3000, seems higher than stock. i can get full boost launches (10psi) with it, and ive read that other people can only get about 5-6psi.
whats the stock stall on a 1g? i might already have an aftermarket torque converter :)
how much you askin for it and is it for a 1g awd?

the stall is about 3000 also. i got full boost on mine(17psi) when it was in my car. idk what stock is about 2100 some where around there. ill take 300 for the TC and yes it will fit your car as long as you have a lock up converter.

not sure if they early 92s have the lock up, but i think ill pass cuz well i need at least $4000 to fix the transmissions in both my cars (if i decide to pay my dad back) :shhh:
