Master cyclinder questions

I Just installed a new 2600, clutch and PP. My question is that I went to adjust my clutch and noticed that the rod was backed all the way out.(previous owner must have done it) If I adjust it back towards the driver I cant shift, if I adjust it back towards the engine it shifts, but its almost backes all the way back out. The master cyc. doesnt appear to be leaking inside the car. I know the slave cyclinder works good due to its the same clutch etc..from the donor car in which I drove everyday. I purchaces a new MC yesterday. Do you think this will help, thanks

ACT clutches seem to do that, i was like "wtf" too.
