I have been looking for an after market shifer for my 93 1g and I have come across 3 options so far.
These are:
pacesetter
obx
pilot
Every site that I go to looking for information about these shifters doesn't have any specific for my car. I know that the pacesetter has an adjustable throw and I don't think that the other 2 do. The pilot looks like a decent shifter, but I am unable to find any type of review on it except for ArcticTsi's website and post about it. I think that the pilot may have the "stops" on it to prevent overshifting but I'm not sure because I can't find a website with an actual picture of the shifter. The pacesetter shifter seems like a nice one except for that it is missing the stops and I have heard that it can damage your transmission.
I want a decent shifter that cuts down the throw by at least 30% but I would rather have a 50% throw reduction. Has anybody used a kit like the symborski with any of these shifters?
I think the pilot shifter would be my best choice right now. Is anyone using one?
Thanks
