What's the best tranny to use?

Hey, I wanted to know if any of the turbo fwd trannies are stronger than one another or are they all the same? I'm building a lightweight kit car and the engine and tranny will be in the rear, the car will weigh in the neighborhood of 1,500lbs and hopefully will have 325+ turbo power and maybe a shot of nitrous on top of that for when I take it to the track.

Also, The 2g's have the engine on the pass side right? I would wan't that for better weight ditribution. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I did some searching and it looks like I'm going to probably go with a bm race tranny, I just want to know which one is the best base to build up on. Thanks for any info and nice board you have here!

The 1g trannies are stronger but if you want to use a 2g get the AWD tranny with a spool to replace the center diff so you can run it in FWD. You want the AWD tranny cause there are more mods available, check out TRE also. Oh and the motor is on the drivers side for 1g's and 2g's.
